(Cazenovia, NY – Sept. 2012) The guest speaker for the Madison County Democratic Committee biennial re-organization meeting on Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. in Cazenovia will be Dan Lamb, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in New York’s 22nd Congressional District. All of Madison County is in this new district.
Marianne Simberg, Chair, has announced that after the roll call and election of officers, members of the public as well as of the committee will have the opportunity to hear Lamb, who may be new to many in Madison County, though he is well known in the Southern part of the new district, having worked for fifteen years in Binghamton as a top advisor to Congressman Maurice Hinchey.
Lamb is from a military family; so he lived in many places before settling near Cortland. He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Public Affairs in Syracuse as well as a Bachelor of Science from Ithaca College.
The meeting also will hear updates from Senator David Valesky and Assemblyman Bill Magee. After these presentations and some re-organizational tasks, there will be a workshop on local campaigning, with Leo Matzke of Oneida, Kristi Andersen of Cazenovia, Dominick Pangallo of Hamilton, and Scott Butler from Senator Valesky’s office.
The meeting will be held at Crouch House, 5 Ledyard Ave. in Cazenovia. Directions are posted at www.madisonconydems.com.
