(Madison County, NY – Sept. 2012) Congressional Candidate Dan Lamb today announced he has been endorsed by the United Mine Workers of America Local 717. The union represents more than 1,000 employees at the Remington Arms factory in Illion.
“Dan Lamb will stand firm for the Second Amendment and will fight for our union members every step of the way,” said Rusty Brown, Political Action Committee chairman for Local 717. “At a time when jobs continue to be exported to China and Mexico, Dan will fight for fair trade policies that keep work here in the United States. That’s why Local 717 is proud to endorse him.”
“It’s a great honor to have the support of the working men and women of United Mine Workers of America Local 717,” Lamb said. “I’ll fight to protect the right to organize and work to stop the outsourcing and exportation of jobs by cracking down on illegal trade practices and unfair trade deals. The middle class has taken a beating these past few years, and they need partners in Washington who stand with them all of the time, not just some of the time. I’ll be that leader.”
