(Canastota, NY – Sept. 2012) Come spend a few minutes learning what species of ducks use wetlands at the Great Swamp Conservancy. Local conservationist Michael J. Patane will discuss what types of ducks use the wetlands, when, and for what reasons.

There are two different categories of ducks:  Puddle ducks and divers.  Learn the differences and similarities.  See how important wetlands and our other water are to ducks and other species.

A question and answer period will follow.

The event takes place Saturday Sept. 19 11 a.m. at the Great Swamp Conservancy, 8375 North Main St.
