Madison County Board of Elections
(Wampsville, NY – Oct. 2012) Madison County Elections Commissioners Lynne M. Jones and Laura P. Costello announced last week that the Madison County Board of Elections office in the County Office Building, 138 N. Court St., Wampsville, will be open four evenings and two Saturday mornings previous to the Nov. 6 general election.
The extended hours are to facilitate applications for absentee balloting for people who cannot get to the Board of Elections during regular hours to apply to vote in absentia.
Those attending will be able to apply and vote at the time when they come in.
The evenings will be:
Tuesday, Oct. 23, and Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Saturday mornings will be:
Oct. 27 and Nov. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon
It is too late to register to vote for the general election. This time is merely to facilitate people who wish to vote by absentee ballot. For more information, call the Madison County Board of Elections at 315.366.2231.
