(Oneida, NY – Oct. 31, 2012) Oneida City Police remind motorist to use caution when traveling on the roadways tonight on Halloween to drive slow and watch for kids and parents crossing the roadways.

Those out trick or treating or supervising those that are out are encouraged to use sidewalks, watch for traffic, carry a flashlight and avoid crossing roadways between parked vehicles and to use the intersections and crosswalks to cross.

Residents are also reminded the ban on all night parking on all streets and city lots goes into affect at midnight Nov. 1. Alternate row parking is permitted in city lots as directed by the posted signs and the west end of Oneida Street and Freight House Alley.
