Book Talk, Board Game Night Planned at Morrisville Library

(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2012) Our next book talk will be Friday, Nov. 9, at 12:15 p.m. The book being discussed is Susan Vreeland’s Clara & Mr. Tiffany. Bring your lunch and join in the discussion. Copies can be picked up now.

We are having a family board game night Friday, Nov. 9, at 6:30 p.m. Bring your favorite board game and the family and come play a game or two with others. We will provide the popcorn and some of our favorite games.

Kiddies Korner will meet again Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 9:30 a.m., to hear stories about cats and kittens. If you can’t make that day, join us Nov. 20 to hear stories about Arthur the Aardvark by Marc Brown.

Join us Friday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m., as we celebrate America Recycles Day. Learn about recycling and how it can make our community a cleaner and more beautiful place.

Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m., our writer’s group will meet again. Get your creative juices flowing in this fun group. Call Josie Howlett at 315.893.7032 or Cathy Nagle at 315.527.1627 for more information. If you can’t make that day, join them Dec. 1.

Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder Monday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. He will be doing this class for free every Monday so, teens and adults, this is your chance to learn this and have fun. If you cannot make that day, he will be here again Monday, Nov. 26.

Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m., we will be hosting the Utica Zoomobile. They will be bringing a few of their animals for us to see, learn about and touch. Bring the family in for a good time with these animals.

The Library will be closed Monday, Nov. 12, to observe Veteran’s Day. We will reopen Tuesday at 10 a.m.

We will also be closing Thursday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 25, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday; we will reopen Monday, Nov. 26, at noon.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m., in the program room. The public is welcome to attend.

Michelle Rounds is library manager for the Morrisville Public Library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
