(Hamilton, NY – Nov. 2012) The Hamilton Forum is honored to announce that Sheriff Allen Riley of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office will be the guest speaker for an upcoming meeting to be held Thursday evening Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Colgate Inn in Hamilton.
Riley’s talk will focus on the abuse of synthetic drugs in Madison County, specifically the origin and effects of “bath salts,” what law enforcement and first responders deal with when they arrive and ingredients of bath salts.
This talk will be an important service to the public since this drug trend should be of concern to all citizens. It can impact crime rates and the quality of life in our communities.
Sheriff Riley, a highly experienced law enforcement official, was a member of NYSP for 28 years and a canine narcotics handler for 15 years. He retired from NYSP to run for sheriff in 2010.
The Hamilton Forum, sponsored by the Hamilton Rotary Club, is an initiative designed to bring citizens from the community together for discussions of significant public interest. Forums are free and open to the public.
