(Madison County, NY – Nov. 2012) Three Madison County residents successfully completed New York State’s 36 hour Certification training course to become Long Term Care Ombudsmen.  The recently certified Ombudsmen are: Audrey Howard, Roxanne Winchell and Marie Knapp.

They will join other dedicated volunteer Ombudsmen who advocate for residents of Long Term Care facilities. Ombudsmen work to ensure the rights of residents and strive to improve the care and enhance the quality of the lives of all long term care residents.

The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) is sponsored by RSVP of Madison County, a volunteer program whose mission is to match adults age 55 and over with meaningful volunteer work to address critical community needs.
