(Madison, NY – Nov. 2012) The Town of Madison Historical Society is hosting a second presentation called, “Farmers’ Forum: The History of Local Farming” Monday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. at the Madison Historical Society building on South Street, Madison.

The meeting about historical facts from local farms in October was so successful that a second group of local farms will be presented. FFA students from Madison Central School will speak with local farmers in the audience to tell about how farming was done in the past two generations.

A PowerPoint will present vintage pictures of farms and their historical information, farm technology used and the people who farmed.

The public is invited to this forum to learn, participate and have fun. It is hoped the FFA can take information from each farmstead to develop stories for a book to use as a fundraiser.

Please support them by attending this event featuring farmers.

Refreshments will be served.
