Learn About Recycling Friday – America Recycles Day

(Morrisville, NY – Nov. 2012) Join us Friday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m., as we celebrate America Recycles Day. Learn about recycling and how it can make our community a cleaner and more beautiful place.

Saturday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m., our writer’s group will meet again. Get your creative juices flowing in this fun group. Call Josie Howlett at 315.893.7032 or Cathy Nagle at 315.527.1627 for more information. If you can’t make that day, join them Dec. 1.

Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder Monday, Nov. 19, at 6:30 p.m. He will be doing this class for free every Monday so teens and adults; this is your chance to learn this and have fun. If you cannot make that day, he will be here again Monday, Nov. 26.

Again this year we will be having our Christmas Ornament fundraiser starting Monday, Nov. 19, until Saturday, Dec. 22. Buy a Christmas ball and decorate our tree together. They are $1, $5 or $10. We will personalize each ball with the purchaser’s name or someone you choose. Honor a loved one or a deceased relative. Be part of the library family today.

Kiddies Korner will meet again Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 9:30 a.m., to hear stories about Arthur the Aardvark by Marc Brown. If you can’t make that day, join us Nov. 27 to hear stories about books that we are thankful for.

Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m., we will be hosting the Utica Zoomobile. They will be bringing a few of their animals for us to see, learn about and touch. Bring the family in for a good time with these animals.

We will be having a Family Movie Night Friday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. Join us for popcorn and the film Arthur Christmas. This Christmas film isn’t about an aardvark, but Santa, his dysfunctional family and a Christmas in jeopardy. Start the holiday season by bringing the family to see this creative, comical film with us.

The library will be closing Thursday, Nov. 22 through Sunday, Nov. 25, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. We will reopen Monday, Nov. 26, at noon.

Michelle Rounds is library manager for the Morrisville Public Library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
