Munnsville Eagle Scout Completes Community Service Project

(Oneida, Munnsville, NY – Nov. 2012) Holy Cross Academy, located in Oneida, now has two brand new signs thanks to Jonathan Jay Noble, 18, of Munnsville.  It was his Eagle Scout project. Through the delegation of his team and determination, his project was a success, and fulfills the community service requirement needed for advancing to Eagle Scout rank.

After the completion of his project Jonathan Noble said, “I knew all of the volunteers were there for my project to help with my attainment of this prestigious award, but the most rewarding part was being able to help the school that has been such a blessing for us.”

Noble and his team worked outside of their school to make the weather-beaten and worn signs legible for passer byers. He also placed plants and flowers under the signs. The entire project was funded through fundraising efforts and out-of-pocket expenses.

When asked about what being an Eagle means to him, he said, “Being an Eagle Scout means I have the work ethic, perseverance and character to succeed in attaining the highest rank in Scouting. Eagles are men people can count on, and in the world we live in, we need people we can count on.  Eagle Scouts will always stand out in a crowd for being everything the Scout Law, Oath, Motto, and Slogan represent, which makes for a guide that all men should live by.”

Noble currently attends SUNY Oneonta with a major in Music Industry and a minor in Audio Production.
