(Morrisville, NY – Dec. 2012) Santa and Mrs. Claus will be arriving in the village of Morrisville on Dec. 7 for the annual Christmas tree lighting and caroling.

The free event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Crouse Community Center on South Street.  The campus and village are invited to participate in the event, which will be held regardless of local weather-related school closings.

Following the lighting of the Christmas tree, there will be horse-drawn wagon rides and photo opportunities with Santa.

Light refreshments will be served.

Prior to the tree lighting, the Morrisville State College Howlett Carillon will be playing traditional Christmas carols.  There will also be carol singing and entertainment by the MECS Elementary School Choir.

The event is sponsored by the Campus/Community Relations Committee, the Village of Morrisville and Morrisville State College.
