Hamilton Public Library news
(Hamilton, NY – Dec. 2012) On Dec 15 from 11 a.m. to noon the library will host a celebration in honor of the classic novel The Hobbit, by J.R.R Tolkein, and the release of the upcoming movie by the same title.
Our celebration will feature Hobbit trivia, riddles, contests, and more. Feel free to wear Hobbit or other Middle Earth attire, if you like. Refreshments provided, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
Thank you to the Colgate Bookstore and Hamilton Movie Theater for donating some of the prizes for this event.
Hamilton Public Library’s annual Wish Tree is now on display. There are book and magazine titles, as well as, program materials for children and teens that may be purchased for our library collection. Each book purchased through Wish Tree donations will have a special bookplate and donors have the first-read option. This is a fine opportunity for you to honor someone special or to remember loved ones.
Looking to update your movie collection? The library is currently running a Buy One, Get One Free Sale on DVDs and VHS tapes.
The library is a collection site for hats, mittens, scarves and the like for the Interfaith Christmas project. Please drop off any donations in the box across from our circulation desk by Wednesday, Dec. 12.
