(Hamilton, NY- Feb. 2013) Flashback-Summer Lovin’ is a Cabaret and Dance to be held Saturday Feb. 9 with an area for those who want to dance as well as enjoy the music.

This Palace Players Production features the smooth rich vocals of Jenni Larchar (Sherburne) and Erin Schey (Auburn) singing love songs from the 1920s – 1960s such as Dream a Little Dream of Me, Catch a Falling Star, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, Twice the Lovin, I Only Have Eyes for You, Somebody Loves Me, Summertime, and a medley of smile songs.

FlashbackPerforming on stage with the ladies are Brian Schey on bass and Tom Murphy on keyboard. Hamilton High School Masquers Charlie Campbell-Decock (Sky) and Halley McArn take the stage during intermission with a few songs to promote their upcoming musical, Guys and Dolls.

Doors open at 6 p.m. so come early to mingle and enjoy home-baked goods. The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for youth (17 and under) and $14 for adults (18+) with a percentage of the ticket sales benefiting the Hamilton High School Masquers.

“The Palace Players started the Flashback Cabaret Series to celebrate classics from the 1920s-1960s,” said Patricia von Mechow, Artistic Director at The Palace Theater. “Jenni and Erin have incredible voices, Brian and Tom are the talented musicians who back them up, and this year the Palace Players are proud to feature Sky and Halley, the leads in Guys and Dolls. Their songs are a perfect fit for Flashback!”

The Palace Theater is thrilled to bring Jenni Larchar back to its stage, and welcomes equally talented new-comer Erin Schey.

Larchar, a wife and mother of four, loves to perform. She is an active member of the Sherburne Community Chorus and has portrayed Maria in The Sound of Music, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and performed the title role in the Gilbert and Sullivan operetta Patience.

Jenni studied Music Therapy and Voice at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, joined The Cleveland Orchestra and The Cleveland Opera Children’s Chorus at age 12 and advanced through to full Chorus in both organizations until relocating to CNY in 1998. She is now a regular performer at the NYS Veteran’s Home in Oxford, and is grateful for Arts opportunities in the community.

Erin Schey, a Central New York native, studied voice, piano and theater at M.I.T. and Wellesley College, earning her B.A. in Japanese Studies and Religion.  Since the age of six, she has performed as a dancer, pianist, singer, and actress in TV commercials, theater productions and jazz bands. Over the past ten years Schey has lived and worked in Colorado, Tokyo, and New York, recording and performing as a jazz vocalist, keyboardist and accordionist. In addition to her work as a producer and composer of original musical theater, she has enjoyed teaching music, theater and performance to children for almost twenty years.

“Masquers of the Hamilton Central School Drama club, presents two productions during the school year, a fall play and the spring musical,” said Donna Moren, Director of the Hamilton High School Masquers.

The Hamilton High School Masquers are promoting their March 22 and 23 musical, Guys and Dolls. Volunteers for the Masquers will be selling home-baked desserts when the doors open and throughout the cabaret and dance to raise funds for the school’s productions.
