(North Syracuse, NY – Feb. 17, 2013) On Feb. 15 the New York State Police conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative in the Onondaga County Towns of Cicero, Clay, and Salina including the Villages of Liverpool and North Syracuse.

As a result of the initiative the following three subjects were charged with Unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree (PL 160.20) and Prohibitive sale of alcohol to a person under twenty-one years old (ABC 65-1):
· Jesse J. Boland, age 20, from 7568 Totman Street, North Syracuse. Boland is employed as a cashier at the Sunshine Mini Mart, 500 7th North Street, Liverpool. He was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Town of Salina Court on Feb. 28, 2013.
· Elizabeth A. Green, age 27, from 105 Crandon Terrace, Baldwinsville. Green is employed as a bartender at the Cobblestone Ale House, 400 First Street, Liverpool. She was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of Liverpool Court on March 5, 2013.
· Jonathan M. Vanderberg, age 22, from 1150 Vine Street A2, Liverpool. Vanderberg is employed as a cashier at the Hess Express, 711 South Main Street, North Syracuse. He was issued Appearance Tickets returnable to the Village of North Syracuse Court on Feb. 25, 2013.
Businesses where a violation takes place are referred to the New York State Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Alcohol consumption by underage consumers has a profound effect on our communities. Teen alcohol consumption is related to traffic accidents, fatalities and crime. The New York State Police would like to thank Onondaga County businesses for their support in preventing underage drinking.
