(Rome, NY – Feb. 18, 2013) – On Feb. 17 the New York State Police BCI in Marcy arrested Heather N. Hoyt, 36, of 526 Brandywine Ave., Schenectady at Mohawk Correctional Facility in the City of Rome.
Hoyt, who was at the prison attempting to visit an inmate, was found to possess a quantity of marijuana as she was processing in for the visit.
She was charged with second-degree Promoting Prison Contraband (misdemeanor), and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (violation).
She was arraigned in Rome City Court and was committed to the Oneida County Jail on bail. The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the New York State Department of Corrections Inspector General Narcotics Unit.
