Campbell Recognized at Skidmore College

(Hamilton) The Skidmore College Athletics Department inducted 106 student-athletes into the college’s Thoroughbred Honor Society in a Feb. 11 ceremony on campus. Lucile Campbell, daughter of Murray Decock and Sally Campbell of Hamilton, was among those inducted.

Students Named to Dean’s List at Roberts Wesleyan

Roberts Wesleyan College announced the following local students were named to the dean’s list for outstanding performance for the fall 2012 semester: Michelle Brandt of Canastota received highest honors; Danielle Glasso of Kirkville received highest honors; and Chelsea Wilkinson of Kirkville received honors.

Honors require a grade point average ranging from 3.5 to 3.69. Higher honors require a grade point average ranging from 3.7 to 3.89. Highest honors require a grade point average ranging from 3.9 to 4.0.

Holcomb Makes Dean’s Commendation List at Gettysburg

(Hamilton) Gettysburg College students with a quality point average in the range of 3.300 to 3.599 for a semester’s work are placed on the College’s deans’ commendation list. Rachel Holcomb of Hamilton has been placed on the deans’ commendation list for outstanding academic achievement in the fall 2012 semester.

Residents Graduate from SUNY Delhi

The following students are graduates for December 2012 at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi: Jessica Zbydniewski of Hamilton, an associate’s degree in liberal arts – general studies; and Francesca Magro of Sherburne, an associate’s degree in hotel and resort management

Residents Achieve Dean’s List at SUNY Delhi

The following students have been cited for academic achievement for the fall 2012 semester by achieving the dean’s list at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have an academic average of 3.50 or higher and take six credit hours or more within the semester.

Mackenzie Funari of Canastota, construction management major; Nicholas Palmer of New Woodstock, construction technology major; Benjamin Dewan of Cazenovia, business and professional golf management major; and Joanna Stump of Bridgeport, nursing major.

Reynolds Competes in the Region III/Northeast District Championship

Herkimer County Community College’s men’s and women’s swimming and diving team was one of 11 teams that participated in The Region III/Northeast District Championship at Monroe Community College. Overall, the women placed third and the men placed eighth.

Individual achievements include Kristina Reynolds of Sherburne, who placed second in the 100 backstroke; placed third in the 200 backstroke, member of the 400 medley relay that placed fifth; member of the 200 medley relay that placed fifth; member of the 400 free relay that placed fifth; and member of the 200 free relay that placed sixth.

Residents Graduate from RIT

The following local residents graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall 2012 quarter: Nathaniel Monforte of Cazenovia earned a bachelor of science degree in computational mathematics from RIT’s College of Science.

Dudley Named to St. Lawrence University Dean’s List

Matthew C. Dudley of Cazenovia has been selected for inclusion on the dean’s list for academic achievement during the fall semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton. To be eligible for the dean’s list at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Dudley, a member of the class of 2014, graduated from Cazenovia High School.

Reynolds Named to All-Region Team

Herkimer County Community College’s men’s and women’s swimmers and divers were named to All-Region Teams as the result of their outstanding finishes at the Region III/Northeast District Championship at Monroe Community College, including Kristina Reynolds of Sherburne, Second Team All-Region, women’s 100 backstroke.
