(Cazenovia, NY Cazenovia library new– March 2013) Les Miserables will be shown Wednesday, March 27, at 1 and 6 p.m. It is rated PG-13 and runs for 158 minutes.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Miserables tells the story of ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert, after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever (Amazon.com).

The Hobbit: An unexpected journey follows the adventure of Bilbo Baggins and a company of 13 dwarves who are swept into an epic quest to reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor from the fearsome dragon Smaug. Their journey takes them into the wild through treacherous lands, swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Sorcerers (Amazon.com).

The Hobbit will be shown Friday, March 29, at 1 and 6 p.m. It is rated PG-13 and runs for 169 minutes.

As always, admission and popcorn are free.

Free Computer, iPad Tutoring Continues

Do you need help getting started with your computer or iPad? Or perhaps you just want to learn more about these devices before you take the plunge and buy one. If so, join Allison Livermore, a recent Syracuse University graduate in library services, who has kindly offered to provide free computer and iPad tutoring at the Cazenovia Public Library.

Livermore will be available for one-on-one sessions every Tuesday, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Just call the library at 315.655.9322 or stop by the front desk to reserve a time. Each session will last 45 minutes.

Library computers and iPads will be available for your use or you may bring your own.
