(Oriskany, NY – March 2013) Are you an advocate for Agriculture?   Do you know what it means to advocate?  If you desire to see Agriculture promoted and want to help consumers understand the industry please join us at the Oneida County Extension Office on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as Cari Rincker, Attorney at Law, leads a workshop focused on Agriculture Advocacy, marketing your

product, and using social media to your advantage.  The afternoon will be spent working on livestock judging skills and learning more about the beef industry.

Rincker is an accomplished attorney in New York with a practice that focuses on food/agriculture law as well as environmental law. Raised on a Simmental cattle operation in Illinois, Cari judged livestock at Lake Land Junior College and Texas A & M University. Cari has a passion for working with youth interested in Agriculture.

The cost of the program is $10 for 4-H youth and $20 for youth not enrolled in 4-H.  Lunch will be provided.  The workshop will target youth ages 9-19 years but adults, parents and leaders are encouraged to attend.
