(Utica, NY – April 2013) Excellus BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) reminds the community that the deadline for the next round of Community Health Awards is May 1, 2013.
Community Health Awards are grants of up to $4000 to nonprofit organizations for programs that improve the health and wellness of the community. Awards are made in January and July each year. Since their inception in 2000, more than 300 awards have been made totaling more than $750,000.
To be eligible for the grants, an applicant must be located within the following New York state counties: Clinton, Delaware, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida or Otsego.
If your organization is interested in applying for this award cycle, the application can be found online at www.excellusbcbs.com under the Utica Regional News page or requested by emailing Stephanie.davis@excellus.com. Applications received after the May 1 deadline will be held for the next award cycle.
