(Oneida, NY – April 2013) Acting Mayor Alden M. Smith is pleased to announce that the Arbor Day Foundation has named Oneida New York a Tree City USA, adding that residents of Oneida should be proud to live in a community that makes the planting and care of trees a priority.
The Acting Mayor stated Dwight Davis, Public Works Supervisor, will be holding a tree planting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26 at Vet’s Field in honor of Arbor Day and cordially invites the public to attend. Some students from North Broad Street School will be on hand to assist in planting the trees.
