Three-day event held at CAC in Sherrill
(Sherrill, NY- April 2013) Thread Bears Quilters’ Guild is hosting a Quilt Show on Friday May 3 from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday May 5 from noon to 4 p.m. at the CAC (Community Activity Club), 139 East Hamilton Ave. in Sherrill. Displays will include bed quilts as well as wall hangings, quilted garments and other quilted items made by members.
In addition to the quilts being shown, a number of events will be featured:
A silent auction will be held on items like quilted wall hangings, table runners and more.
Bed turning featuring narrations of different piecing and quilting styles offered.
Door prizes including fabric wallets, batting donated by the Warm Company, and other quilt related items.
Quilting vendors and services will also be in attendance.
Quilt made by the members will be raffled with the drawing on Sunday May 5th.
Thread Bears Quilters’ Guild is an organization that promotes friendship as well as the art of quilting. In addition to individual projects, Guild members make quilts for charities including organ donors, trooper quilts, Project Linus, quilts for veterans, senior and health care organizations.
