(Morrisville, NY- April 2013) WMichelle Forwarde are having our Share-A-Book book talk Friday, May 3, at 12:15 p.m. Bring a book or two (or more) that you would like to share with the group. Bring your lunch and discuss all these favorites. After, these will be compiled into our summer reading list for adults for 2013.

Kiddies Korner will meet again Tuesday, May 7, at 9:30 a.m. to read about gardening. If you can’t make that day, join us May 14 to read about bugs and make a butterfly to take home.

Join Madison County Historian Matt Urtz for part two in his history series, Lost Industries in Madison County, Friday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. He will focus on industries that have come and gone in Madison County and trace early 19th-century Madison County industry all the way through the 20th century.

The county had a number of prominent industries that no longer are around, including glass production, steam engine production, tower clock production, cigar manufacturing and many more. Numerous photos will be shown, as well as the stories behind these industries. Be sure to join us in June for his last talk on “The Mystery of Muller Hill.”

Come learn Tai Chi Chuan with Morrisville State College Professor William S. Snyder at 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 13. He will be doing this class for free every Monday, so teens and adults, this is your chance to learn this and have fun.

If you cannot make that day, he will be here again Monday, May 20. Please note: there is NO class Monday, May 6, due to scheduling conflicts.

Join us Wednesday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. for our next book talk. We will be talking about the book Magicians by Lev Grossman. Copies can be picked up at the circulation desk now.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Michelle Rounds is library manager for the Morrisville Public Library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
