(Oneida, NY – May 2013) Oneida City Police responded to Parkside Liquors located in the N. Side Shopping Center, 439 N. Main Street, Oneida for a report of a robbery at about 9 p.m. on Saturday May 11.

A lone suspect described as a black male, 5’10” to 6’ tall, thin build, unshaven face, age estimated as mid 20’s, wearing a black or dark blue baggy hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and baggy dark colored jeans, entered the store and handed the clerk a backpack and demanded the clerk put the money in the bag. The suspect stated he had a gun and kept one hand in the pocket of his sweatshirt.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

New York State Police and Madison County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Units assisted in the check of the area.  From the information gathered it is believed the suspect started south west through backyards and looped around to N. Willow near Monihan and unknown from there.

Anyone that seen anything unusual in that area or any vehicle parked in that area is asked to contact Oneida City Police at 363-2323, all calls will be kept confidential.
