(Marcy, NY – May 28, 2013) On May 27 Investigator Stephen Kubat, SP Marcy BCI charged Marcy Correctional Facility inmate Isaiah Bethea, 19, with first-degree Promoting Prison Contraband and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both felonies.
His arrest stems from an incident that occurred at Marcy Correctional Facility on May 18 when Corrections Officers found Bethea to be in possession of a sharpened piece of metal inside his pants pocket.
Bethea remains in the custody of NYSDOCCS and will be arraigned on July 11 in the Town of Marcy Justice Court.
