Morrisville State Lacrosse logo(Morrisville, NY – June 19, 2013)  Four Morrisville State College ice hockey student-athletes have received academic honors from the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), as announced Wednesday morning, earning all-Academic Team and Commissioner’s List accolades.

To be named to the Commissioner’s List, members must maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average for at least three semesters while competing.

Three student-athletes earned that honor, including captains Christopher Azzano (Oshawa, Ontario) and Jamie Nelson (Stratford, Ontario), along with Zachary McMichael (Bancroft, Ontario).

SUNYAC All-Academic Team members must have earned at least a 3.30 grade point average for the semester in which they competed during the sport season.

Earning All-Academic Team honors are Steven Dol (Ingersoll, Ontario), Azzano, Nelson and McMichael.

Morrisville State athletics takes pride in excellence on and off the playing fields. Each year, several student-athletes receive academic accolades.
