(Earlville, NY – Oct. 2015) Spirits to summon, enchantments to cast, All Hallows Eve is here at last. But look out… a haunting and mysterious night awaits you at the Haunted Opera House.
It’s that time of year when ghostly spirits and creatures of the night find their way into the historic 1892 Earlville Opera House and transform it into the Haunted Opera House Saturday Oct. 31 from 7 to 9 p.m.
The Witches of Ravenswood have come for All Hallows Eve. Beware, lest these gruesome greeters cast a bewitching spell upon you, or feed you to the werewolves.
In another dimension, enter Ripskin Manor where the grotesque ghosts may invite you to share their delectable feast. Worms, anyone?
Cross the threshold into the torture chamber at your own risk—the keepers may not let you leave. Is it real, or is it just an illusion? You won’t know until it’s too late! Are you scared yet?
All donations received during this free event will benefit programming for families and children at the Earlville Opera House.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For small children under 8, please use your best judgment. We really don’t want to scare little ones.
The Earlville Opera House is located at 18 E. Main Street in Earlville.

EOH Announces 2015 Raffle Winners
Earlville native Sherry Haluska had a pretty good weekend. She had returned to her old stomping ground from her current home in Schenectady on the weekend of Aug. 14 to attend her fiftieth high school reunion, to take in the summer quilt show at the Earlville Opera House, and to attend the performance of Chris Hillman & Herb Pedersen in the restored upstairs theater on Friday night. While there, she entered our annual raffle. And she pulled first prize.
“I enjoyed my first visit to the opera house,” notes Haluska. “Winning the raffle is definitely the icing on the cake!”
Haluska, a retired librarian, had her choice among the three possible raffle prizes available, and she chose the three-pack of restaurant gift certificates: $100 each to the Tailor & the Cook in Utica, Michael’s in Waterville, and The Horned Dorset in Leonardsville.
“It will be lovely to share meals with friends in the area,” offers Haluska.
The second place raffle prize went to EOH Board Member Bruce Ward, who graciously deferred to the third place winner, Kristin Mosher of Syracuse. Deciding between the Bose Soundlink Mini speaker and tickets for the full 2016 EOH Season, Mosher chose the “awesome” speaker. “We will definitely continue supporting the Earlville Opera House,” said Mosher. “Thanks for all your work providing such amazing art, culture, and entertainment.”
The Earlville Opera House is deeply grateful to everyone who helped support our youth programming by purchasing a raffle ticket this season, and to the restaurants that generously donated prizes.
