CornellCornell Cooperative Extension Herkimer, Madison and Oneida Counties presents a Connecting With Kids Workshop, “Diversity: Nurturing Positive Youth Development” from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, April 6 at Herkimer College, Robert McLaughlin College Center, Reservoir Rd, Herkimer.

This workshop will refresh our understanding of positive youth development and look at what impact diversity impacts youth work professionals. How do we continue to create the nurturing relationships, environments and opportunities we know all youth need? Workshop participants will explore core principles of youth development and how to apply them to program settings. Participants will walk away with tools and resources they can use in their home communities.

Our Presenter, Heather Wynkoop Beach is currently an Extension Support Specialist with the ACT for Youth Center of Excellence at Cornell University, which is housed within the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research.
