20160322_170107Story time for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers is held in the children’s story room, led by Library Director Hilary Virgil.  Story time for preschoolers will be held in the community room and led by our guest reader Joan Ford. Special music time to follow. Story Time is held every Tuesday from mid-September through July, unless otherwise closed for a holiday or emergency.

April Happenings

Everything from paintings, poetry, and pen and ink drawings to stained glass, woodworking, photography and more are currently on display at the Hamilton Public Library! This year’s Community Art Exhibit showcases the creative talents of 40 local artists featuring a wide variety of styles, perspectives, and mediums. Many thanks to the Friends of the Library for hosting the opening reception for the exhibit on March 22nd– attended by over 80 enthusiastic community members. This exhibit will remain on display the gallery space at the Hamilton Public Library through April 29th.

In celebration of Earth Day, libraries throughout the Mid York Library System are partnering with CCNY Tech to collect and recycle old cell phones throughout the month of April! Did you know old cell phones contain heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and mercury? Help protect the environment by safely disposing of your old cell phone through this recycling opportunity while also raising funds to support the digital resources made possible through the Library System. Simply bring your old cell phone to the Library during the month of April and leave it in the recycling box across from the circulation desk as part of our ecology display.
