County Seal(Wampsville) Since 1991, the National Association of Counties (NACo) has identified April as National County Government Month and this year’s theme is “Safe and Secure Counties.”

On April 30, Madison County is using this opportunity to raise public awareness of the critical  functions performed by their emergency response departments by inviting the public to an open house. Saturday’s open house will be held in the parking lot of the County campus on North Court Street in Wampsville from 9 a.m. until noon with the following departments sharing the roles they play to keep Madison County communities safe and secure.
