The Hamilton Public Library is pleased to announce they will be hosting an informational workshop called, “Making the Most of Social Security-Retirement Income Enhancing Strategies” at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 21st.

The program is being offered as a public service for pre-retirees (ages 55-70) prior to taking their Social Security benefits. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the “new rules” of Social Security, hear valuable case studies and get answers to some of the most commonly asked questions in order to make a more informed claiming decision:

  • Should I take my benefits early or wait?
  • What happens if I’m still working and decide to collect benefits?
  • Will my spouse be protected if I die unexpectedly?
  • Can I switch my benefits to a higher amount later?
  • Does my ex-spouse have to be collecting before I can receive benefits?

The workshop is being presented by Retirement Solutions. Seating is limited. Please RSVP at (315) 735-5800.
