On Nov. 10, 2016, at approximately 7:50 p.m., State Police stopped a Jeep Cherokee on I-90 for speeding and multiple other traffic violations after being reported as an erratically driven vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, Matthew P. Dwyer, 27, of New Hartford, was found to be intoxicated.
He was transported and processed at SP Syracuse, where his blood-alcohol content was determined to be 0.29 percent. He was subsequently charged with:
- Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; a Misdemeanor
- Numerous Vehicle and Traffic Violations
Dwyer was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Sullivan Court on November 15, 2016, at 4:30 p.m.
