New Historical Museum and Art Exhibits

Did you know the Library is also the home of the Hamilton Historical Commission and the Local History Museum? This year marks the 100th anniversary of the United States entry into World War I on April 6, 1917. The Hamilton Historical Commission is commemorating this centennial by featuring a new exhibit on this theme in the Local History museum. Personal field gear, war posters, and helmets are among the artifacts being featured. We invite you to stop by and see the exhibit, which is currently on display.

We are also currently featuring artwork by artists with special needs in the gallery space at the Library. Amazing fairy houses, paintings, photographs, jewelry and so much more—you won’t want to miss it! The Exceptional Art Exhibit will be on display at the Library through Saturday, May 6. We also invite you to mark your calendars and save the date for a special reception Thursday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m., honoring our artists by visiting with them in person to share the joy, pride, and talent of their contributions to our community. Refreshments for this free community event will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
