Bone Builders is a free strength training program, with elements to improve balance. The program is designed to promote bone health in senior, and address issues related to osteoporosis.

This is a research-based program developed by Tuft University. Dr. Miriam Nelson performed extensive research for this program and has been featured on shows such as the Oprah Winfrey Show, CNN and Good Morning America, to name a few.

She has also written several books such as Strong Women Strong Bones and Strong Women and Men Beat Arthritis. The Bone Builder programs in Madison County are delivered by Retired Senior Volunteer Program-trained and certified volunteer leaders. These classes meet at several locations throughout the county, and classes are free! RSVP has had the privilege of providing this service as well as many others under sponsorship from Madison County Office for the Aging. For more information call 315-697- 5700.
