In keeping with the 2017 Summer Reading Program theme of “Build a Better World”, the Sullivan Free Library at 101 Falls Blvd in Chittenango will be offering a program session titled “Build a Better You” on Thursday, July 27th from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.   This program is a drop off program for students ages 7-12 and will pair technology & team building, fairy tales and fun to promote the Summer Reading theme.

A variety of “building” activities will be offered such as Code-a-Pillars, Sphero, OSMO and Cubetto.  There will also be opportunities to make a name badge, Read-With-a Buddy and practice team building by making a structure out of PVC pipe.

Lunch (Build-Your-Own-Pizza) and snacks will be provided.  When students are picked up at 1:00 pm, parents are encouraged to stay for a demonstration of the activities they have learned.

This program is free, but space is limited and pre-registration is required by signing up at the library in Chittenango or calling 315-687-6331.

This program is a collaborative effort of both branches of the Sullivan Free Library, the Chittenango Central School District libraries and Madison County Youth Bureau and is supported by equipment loans from Onondaga-Cortland-Madison BOCES.  Mark’s Pizzeria of Canastota is providing the pizza.
