Lorenzo State Historic Site
Lorenzo State Historic Site

Lorenzo is un-roped. For this season the ropes have been taken down at Lorenzo. Experience the rooms of this historic mansion in a whole new way. No more standing along the edge.

Step into the center and see the home through the eyes of Lorenzo’s families and their guests. Enjoy the beautiful views of Cazenovia Lake and the grounds from the windows.

Take an up-close look at paintings, silver, decorative arts and more previously only gazed upon from a distance.

For September, The Friends of Lorenzo will sponsor two events. Monday, Sept. 11, at 12:30 p.m., Jeffrey Mayer, associate professor of fashion, fashion history, and textiles at Syracuse University will present Fashion at Lorenzo: 1906. This talk will be held at Cazenovia Public Library’s Community Room in Cazenovia. Admission is free.

On Sept. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m., the Friends of Lorenzo will host the annual Community Day at Rippleton Schoolhouse. Enjoy live music, wagon rides, 19th-century games and more! The Rippleton Schoolhouse is located on the Lorenzo property. Admission is free.

Lorenzo is open Wednesdays through Sundays, and Monday holidays from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Oct. 9. The last tour begins at 4 p.m. It is located at 17 Rippleton Road, Cazenovia. Admission is charged. For more information regarding Lorenzo or our upcoming events, call 315-655-3200 or visit friendsoflorenzo.org.
