A cat adoption event and party at Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association this Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Reduced adoption fees on cats age 1 and older. And cake for Toasty, the cat who has spent almost half her life at the shelter.

Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association will be holding a cat adoption event Saturday, Aug. 5, during regular hours and celebrating Toasty too! Toasty is a beautiful 2-year-old shorthair/mix. She loves to play during the day and then will cuddle with you until the sun comes back up. And although she is only 2, she has been at the shelter for 1 full year this month.

So we are spreading the word to help Toasty get adopted and throwing a party in her honor!

Come for the cats, stay for the cake is an adoption event for Toasty and her friends. Anyone who stops into Wanderers’ Rest Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. gets to enjoy a piece of cake with us, in honor of Toasty (while supplies last.) She’ll be waiting in the Community Cat Room where you can hang out and see how sweet she is! WRHA will also reduce the adoption fees on all cats age 1 and older.

We hope anyone looking to adopt a cat or dog will think about adopting from Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association. We just went through “kitten season,” so we also have a lot of kittens up for adoption, as well.
