Library Closures: We are closed Saturday Sept. 2 and Monday Sept. 4 to observe Labor Day.

Read a Good Book Day: The Morrisville Public Library is sponsoring the Farmer’s Market in Peterboro seeing it is “Read a Good Book Day” on Wednesday September 6! Stop into our booth from 3:00pm-7:00pm with the kids to hear some stories and make a craft or two.  Adults-there are things for you too! Check out a book, renew something or get a library card with our pop up library! View all of our programs on display as well!  Lots of other things going on that evening to so be sure to stop in and see us!

Teen/Adult Movie Night: We are showing the movie, Everything, Everything on Friday September 8 at 7:00pm. If you have time read the book first by Nicola Yoon and come see if the book is better than the movie. If not, just come see this great film! We provide the popcorn; just bring your own beverage.  The library closes at 8pm, so if you have library business to attend to, please come early!  NOTE: This movie is PG-13 so we will NOT let anyone under the age of 13 view the movie without a parent/guardian.

Play Mahjong!: Like to play Mahjong? Want to learn how to play without using the computer? Willing to teach young and old! Join the fun every Monday afternoon at the library! The group meets Monday September 11, 18 and 25 from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Roald Dahl Day: The Morrisville Public Library is sponsoring the Farmer’s Market in Peterboro seeing it is “Roald Dahl Day” on Wednesday September 13! Red Cross Blood Drive: We are hosting a blood drive at the library on Friday September 15 from 1:00pm-6:00pm! Sign-ups begin in August, walk ins are welcome too! Help the community by giving blood today!

Book Talk-Before the Fall: Looking for a good book to read?  How about joining our book talk as we will be reading, Before the Fall by Noah Hawley on Wednesday September 20 at 6:30pm.  Copies can be picked up now!  Discussion open to teens and adults!  So grab a book, read it and come join us for a sure to be fun discussion!

Library Board Meeting: The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Thursday September 21 at 6:30pm in the library’s program room. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Woman Suffrage in Madison County Historic Talk: Madison County Historian Matthew Urtz will explain the roles local civic groups played supporting and fighting against Woman Suffrage and the impact these organizations had on statewide efforts to gain or stop woman suffrage; 2017 is the 100th anniversary of women receiving the right to vote in New York State. Come hear this great historic talk on Friday September 22 at 6:30pm!

Family Movie Night: We will be showing the movie, Captain Underpants: First Epic Movie on Friday September 29 at 7:00pm! Popcorn as always will be provided; you bring your own beverage!

Fall Book Sale: Stop in and grab some good books for the fall weather ahead on Saturday September 30 from 10am to 4pm! Stock up for winter! Can’t beat the prices! We will have adult and kid’s books, DVD’s, books on tape or CD, music CD’s and more!
