On Aug. 29 at 6 p.m, the Utica Public Library will host author, educator and keeper of sacred sites, Madis Senner, will discuss the unique and special sacred places in upstate New York that helped shape the world.
Upstate New York was the birthplace of the Women’s Movement and American democracy; home to America’s Second Great Awakening; called the Burned-over District for its spiritual wildfires and America’s Psychic Highway.
During the presentation, Senner will give focus to local sites such as Old Main. Copies of Senner’s book, Sacred Sites in North Star Country, will be available for purchase. Free to the public. For more information, call 315-735-2279.
