Douglas Scott Blanchard, a candidate for the Town Council of Lenox, has received the endorsements of both the Greater Syracuse Labor Council and Utica’s Central New York Labor Council. Blanchard has taken a strong stance against the Constitutional Convention, the referendum which will appear on the back of the 2017 ballots this November.
“We have a process through which we can change our constitution without putting union protections in the line of fire,” Blanchard said.
Blanchard is urging Lenox to turn their ballots over and vote “no” on the referendum. Blanchard also expressed his thanks.
“I’m honored that the Syracuse and Utica unions have chosen to support me,” he said. “I won’t let them down.”
