The campaign of Acting Madison County Sheriff John Ball has received the endorsement of the Central New York Association of Chiefs of Police, the regional affiliate of the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police. After completing an interview with the group recently, they endorsed John Ball as their candidate for Madison County Sheriff in the upcoming November general election.

“It is always refreshing to hear from a candidate that has dedicated his life to serving his fellow man, whether in the Armed Services as you did or in the public sector as you presently do. During your career, you have shown exemplary, dedicated service and leadership within our criminal justice system” wrote Chief D. Paul Waltz, President of the organization.

Ball previously received the endorsements of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters – Local 294, CSEA – Madison County Local 827, CSEA – Central Region V, the Greater Syracuse Labor Council and the Onondaga County Veterans Party.

Acknowledging the endorsement, Ball said, “To receive the endorsement of my peers; fellow law enforcement executives in our region, has such special meaning to me. These men and women know better than anyone the demands, and the role, of the chief executive in a law enforcement agency. So many of the group I interviewed with are distinguished leaders in our field, and the same who were my role models over two decades ago. To have their support is beyond what I can express in words, and is certainly a capstone of this campaign.”

As a reminder, the general election is set for Nov. 7, 2017. Keep what works and, yes, experience does
matter!
