Head Coach Encouraged by Team’s Speed in Boston; Final Race Saturday at Saratoga Springs

Colgate’s reappearance at the Head of the Charles Regatta was just the start of a terrific Saturday of racing for the Raiders.

Colgate placed two team boats in the water and also had an alumni crew compete during a beautiful afternoon on Boston’s Charles River.

“Today was a really positive day for our program,” Raiders head coach Brittany Adell said. “We had a strong program-wide presence with an eight, a four and an alumni eight racing. We are continuing to get faster and grow as a team each time we get on the race course.”

After the competition, the Colgate contingent met in suburb of Allston for a postrace get-together.

“We are fortunate to have incredible support from our family, friends and alumni. We loved spending valuable time with our families and swapping stories with the Colgate Women’s Rowing Alumni after the racing finished.”

The fall season wraps next Saturday at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs.

“I am proud of everyone’s efforts this weekend,” Adell said. “I look forward to building on this momentum as we prepare for our final race of the fall.”
