This Veterans Day, Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, WAVEM is holding their ceremony in the lobby of the Madison County Office Building (Building No. 4), Wampsville, due to potentially severe weather conditions.
It will begin at 11 a.m. We will have three elementary students read their essays on Patriotism and guest speaker Gary Ford, a retired American history teacher from Rome Free Academy.
This year, Victor Ramirez will be accompanied by two ladies from New Beginnings Church singing the National Anthem and God Bless America.
There will be refreshments at the Madison Bistro across the street immediately after.
Please take a few minutes to observe the meaning of this holiday, recognize all veterans service to our nation and thank a veteran face-to-face.
