Finding that perfect gift for the holidays was easy for hundreds of local residents, who attended the 62nd annual holiday sale held Saturday, Dec. 2.

The event organized by the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary featured handmade items, attic treasures, and a kitchen corner. The Holiday Café served yummy sweets and hot beverages. Young shoppers were treated to a kid’s table with art activities.  Kerry Koen, pianist provided Holiday music.

Sandra Rounds, a high school English teacher from Sherburne said she has been coming to this event for more than 12 years.

“I always find that perfect gift for the holidays. A few years ago I purchased a set of china that is now part of my family’s Christmas tradition. I also find items I can use with my students. This year, I purchased a menorah, which will bring our studies to life.”

“This popular holiday event takes months to put together,” said Auxiliary President, Gloria Lenhart. “It is truly a labor of love. People seem eager to help and its shows our community spirit.”

Lenhart gave a special thank you to Seven Oaks Golf Course, Terry’s Signs, First Baptist, Church, Parry’s, M. Burton Marshall Insurance, Karen’s Kuts & Kolors, Farmers Market vendors, and Community artists and crafters.

Also thank you to the CMH staff and members of the Auxiliary who spent many days prior to the sale pricing attic treasures, making the various holiday items, setting up displays, and providing help day of the event.
