Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church plans Ash Wednesday Services

The Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church will hold an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14., Ash Wednesday, the first day of the 40-day penitential season of Lent.

The Lenten season is a time when many Christians observe a period of fasting, repentance, moderation, self-denial and spiritual discipline. The purpose is to set aside time for reflection on Jesus Christ: his suffering and his sacrifice, his life, death, burial and resurrection.

The Cochran Memorial Presbyterian Church is located at 11 State Street in Oneida Castle and is accessible to those with physical challenges.
