John Rogers to speak on official state bird at Great Swamp

On Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at 2 p.m., at the Great Swamp Conservancy, Inc., 8375 N. Main St., Canastota, John Rogers will share his extensive knowledge of bluebird nesting cycles and the proper use of bluebird boxes.

Co-founder of the New York State Bluebird Society and a life member of the North American Bluebird Society, Rogers maintains hundreds of nesting boxes and has fledged more than 13,000 bluebirds. He
opens hearts and minds to bluebirds, as well as other birds, butterflies, wildflowers and nature appreciation with his beautiful photos.

His enthusiasm will delight and educate all ages.

The cost for GSC members is $3; non-members are $4.

Make your own bluebird box after the presentation for just $20. Tree swallows, chickadees, titmice
