Talkin’ Baseball with Vince Doty
Just in time for the start of Baseball Season, Vince Doty will be at the Canastota Library Tuesday, March 6, at 7 p.m., for “Talkin’ Baseball.”
Have you ever seen a baseball card from 1886? Do you know when bubble gum made its first appearance in a baseball card pack? What makes a baseball card have value? And, finally, where were you on May 6, 1971, when the greatest baseball game ever played occurred in Canastota?
Doty will answer some of these questions and will also focus on some Canastota baseball history from the late ’60s and early ’70s.
This 45-minute program will end with Vince’s popular question-and-answer session.
