State Police are continuing their investigation into a car-pedestrian fatal accident which occurred on I-90 in the Town of Sullivan.

On Thursday, March 1, 2018, at approximately 9:28 p.m., State Police were dispatched to investigate a fatal accident that occurred westbound on I-90, in the town of Sullivan, involving a car and a pedestrian.

Investigation at the scene revealed Tom S. Decrescenzo, Jr., 58, of Clinton, was traveling I-90 in the town of Sullivan when his vehicle became disabled. Decrescenzo attempted to cross westbound lanes of traffic and was struck by a passing vehicle; he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The accident is being reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit.
