Morrisville State College to host fifth annual Milk Run

Morrisville State College will host its fifth annual Milk Run Friday, April 20, to benefit the experiential learning activities of the agricultural science, business and dairy programs.

The family-friendly event is a five-kilometer (5K) run, walk or crawl open to all skill levels. The race begins at 6 p.m. in the Marshall Hall parking lot, with race-day registration and packet pickup from 4:30-5:45 p.m.

Fun facts related to agriculture and dairy will be displayed throughout the race, which supports ventures that enhance student learning, align students with industry and prepare them for the global economy. Among them are field trips to dairy farms and agribusinesses, such as upcoming visits to tour dairy facilities across the Northeast.

Following the race, gold, silver and bronze medals will be presented to the top-three finishers for males and females, with ribbons awarded to the top-three finishers in each age group.

Race results and photos will be posted to the Morrisville State College Milk Run Facebook page.

Registration can be completed through the Morrisville application form or online through Eventbrite. The entry fee is $20 if postmarked by March 20, $25 if postmarked byApril 13 and $30 on race day.

All registrations received by Monday, April 16, guarantee a T-shirt. A limited number of free T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis on race day for registrations received after the April 16 deadline and on race day.
