14 year-old student charged after school threat investigation in Hannibal

On April 2, 2018, State Police arrested a 14-year-old male juvenile for third-degree falsely reporting an incident, a class A misdemeanor.

On Monday, a Hannibal Middle School student reported seeing a threatening message written on the wall of the boy’s bathroom to a teacher, who then notified school officials. Edward Brisson, school resource officer for Hannibal Central School District, was able to locate the student involved.

The juvenile was taken into custody, issued a family court appearance ticket and was released to his parents.
